James Coughlin

James Coughlin has been involved locally in the business of homebuilding and land development for many years. He currently serves as a Director for the McHenry County Homebuilders Association and also as a Director for the Home Builders of Greater Chicago. Mr. Coughlin described his interpersonal style as “…listen first, talk second” and believes his development experience will benefit this planning process. A strong proponent of open space in conjunction with good development practices, Mr. Coughlin wants to safeguard the County’s sense of community, work to provide affordable housing and most importantly, realistically deal with traffic congestion issues.

On a personal note, Mr. Coughlin was raised in McHenry County and presently resides with his family in Crystal Lake.
