RB Thompson

RB Thompson has served on the City of Woodstock’s Park & Recreation Commission (23 years), City of Woodstock’s Council (8 years) and also collaborated for more than four years on the City’s comprehensive plan update. Mr. Thompson stated that “…from [my] experience and objectivity, I am able to see the whole picture. I am a problem solver. I focus on the task and keep personalities out of the process.” Through his civil participation, Mr. Thompson believes important issues that need to be addressed relate to traffic and waste reduction/disposal.

On a personal note, Mr. Thompson currently serves as the President of McHenry County’s Head Start programs and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). He retired from District 200 in June 2004 after teaching mathematics for more than thirty-eight years.
